Main tasks

As a Technical Writer you are responsible for the production and maintenance of user manuals for our products within the area of Machine Vision. To succeed you seek active cooperation with colleagues within other disciplines such as R&D and Product Management to stay updated on new and proceeding projects, and independently make a project plan for the production of the technical documentation and maintenance of documents throughout the whole lifecycle of our products.

You are a part of a global team and work tightly with the Product Management Service team in Germany.

You need

You need a couple of years of experience of similar work, a university degree within a technical discipline as well as a general technical understanding. Great skills in the English language, both spoken and written is a prerequisite. If you also have knowledge in German that is a plus. We are looking for

You are driven by the urge to inform, visualize and make information understandable for other people and have the ability to communicate at several levels to suit the end user. You are self-motivated and possess the ability to structure your work to keep an overview on the total as well as details and deliver on time. Since the prioritizations can change rapidly it is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt.

At SICK in Linköping we are very proud of our work to be a healthy and attractive workplace. We have been elected one of the best workplaces in Sweden according to the survey Great Place to Work 2021 and several years before that. We work actively to reduce our climate footprint and engage in various ways to contribute to society and increase diversity at our workplace.
