Software Developer with test focus

For more than 35 years, our team at SICK Linköping has successfully developed and delivered software for technically leading products within the field of 2D and 3D vision, as well as system solutions for i.e. robot guidance and quality control.

We are looking for a curious and quality-focused SW developer with test focus to join our team which is responsible for and developing SICK's world-leading 3D cameras based on laser triangulation technology.

About the team

The team is responsible for the software running on our 3D cameras. The responsibility is vertical, meaning that we work from requirement to deployment of the SW features that a customer can download. We work in an agile way in a cross-functional team with Continuous Integration (CI) and a high degree of automated testing. We work in teams that are characterized by low prestige, "helping each other" spirit and a will to continuously improve. Everyone in the team has their own set of camera and peripherals on their desks for realistic testing and for quick feedback on what they have developed.

When a new camera HW platform is developed we do this together with our German colleagues representing electronics, mechanics, optics and production.

About the job

Testing is a fundamental part of the team's development work, and we now want to further expand the team's test focus.

You will work in close collaboration with the team's developers, and together with our test responsible you have a focus on ensuring the quality of our software and test environment. You will contribute in many different places within a wide variety of tasks in the area of ​​SW development and SW testing. You will plan which tests to perform for releases, write test cases, work with test automation as well as with maintenance and installation of test computers with associated hardware.

You need

Good programming skills where you are familiar with the languages ​​C#, C++, Java and Python. A few years of experience as a SW developer/tester is a benefit but not a requirement.
