Summer internship – Machine vision demos and tutorials

For more than 35 years, our team at SICK Linköping has successfully developed and delivered software for technically leading products within the field of 2D and 3D vision, as well as system solutions for robot guidance and quality control. 

What you will do

The Application Development team is built up of 9 open-minded and creative problem solvers, making sure the organization and our customers can benefit the most from our machine vision products. We do this through support, training, pre-studies and custom developments.

To help the user understand how to use our cameras we want to provide them with demo kits and educational content. This makes it easier for the sales force to make impressive demos to customers and make them comfortable using our hardware and software. Exactly what content that will be generated will in part depend on the summer intern’s skillset and interest and could include recording datasets for key applications, customizing hardware to make an easy-to-use demo kit or making tutorials in written or video format. You will be working in close collaboration with members of the Application Development and Product Management teams with support from R&D when needed.

What you need

• Can clearly communicate in text and orally. Not afraid to ask for help when needed.
• Experience creating educational content such as videos or impressive presentations, or at least a keen desire in learning how to do so.
• Being eager to learn about machine vision cameras and applications is a must, academic or hands-on experience is highly desirable.
