Will you join our push-up challenge in 2024?

Have you found your perfect training challenge for this year? If not, you are welcome to join ours!

Jessica, Head of the 3D Camera team, has indeed invited SICK Linköping to join in this challenge: one more push-up each week.

What is it about?

It is all in the title! The participants start by doing one single push-up each day the first week of January, then two reps each day the second week, and so on until week 52.

Why this challenge?

"It is the small things that you do everyday that have the greatest impact on your health", says Jessica. By starting small and building up on it, the idea is to build up strength gradually and consistently: "start a good habit, do something positive, however small it might be. Do it each day and get noticeable results after a while!

"It is the small things that you do everyday that have the greatest impact on your health"

Curious to try it out?

Here is the mindset and benefits you can expect in a nutshell:

Goal: To build up our strength slowly but surely. We will end up being able to do 52 reps each day by the end of 2024!
Why: Easy to get started, takes almost no time, no investment cost, enormous benefits and anyone can join
What it takes: Consistency, discipline and some planning
What we gain: Strength and a healthy habit

Not a fan of push ups? You can do another exercise instead - squats, pull-ups, etc. And the idea is that if you miss your reps one day, you want to compensate them the following week. It is about building the daily habit!

Stronger together!

Every day, after doing their reps, the participants post a notice in a group channel.

Accountability and celebration go a long way!

Doing it together creates a supportive atmosphere to keep hanging on every day!

But it also works on one's own and one can start right away - so, are you in?  💪
